Your files never leave your device

About PDF Hype

PDF Hype is a free set of PDF tools that work entirely in your browser. It was built on one simple idea: handling a private document shouldn't mean handing it to someone else's server.

Why PDF Hype exists

Most online PDF tools ask you to upload your file to their servers. That's a lot of trust to give for a task like merging two pages, especially when the file is a contract, an ID, a bank statement, or a medical record.

PDF Hype takes a different approach. Modern browsers are powerful enough to do the job themselves, so we load the tool, you pick a file, and everything happens on your own device. The server only delivers the website.

Our principles

Your files stay on your device

Every tool runs inside your browser. Your PDFs are never uploaded to our servers or to any third-party API.

No accounts, no sign-ups

Open a tool, drop a file, download the result. We don't ask for your email, name, or payment details.

Fast and free

Processing happens locally, so there's no upload or download wait. Heavy code loads only for the tool you open.

Honest by design

We can't see, keep, or sell your documents because we never receive them. Our Privacy Policy says exactly what we do collect.

How it works

  1. 1

    Choose a tool

Pick merge, split, compress, redact, and more.

  2. 2

    Processed locally

Your browser does the work using Web Workers and WebAssembly.

  3. 3

    Download the result

Save the file. Close the tab and it's gone from memory.

You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and process a file. You won't see your document being sent anywhere.

What you can do

More tools, including image, audio, and video utilities, are planned with the same privacy promise.

Who's behind it

PDF Hype is designed, built, and maintained by Dev Singh, an independent solo developer. There is no big company or investor behind it, which is part of why it can stay simple, free, and focused on your privacy.

It's built with open-source technology, including Next.js, React, pdf-lib, and pdf.js. Huge thanks to the people who maintain those projects.
